Hangry Burger’s chefs take the traditional American burger and improve upon it in a variety of unexpected ways. For one thing, they use all different types of protein—from ground chicken to seasonal white fish, in addition to options including a standard beef patty. For another, they season and embellish the patties with creative ingredients like galbi sauce or halloumi cheese.
Since Hangry Burger opened its new location nearby in Springfield, customers have been lining up to get their hands on the unique sandwiches. The Seoul Mate features the beef marinated in galbi sauce for a distinctly Korean twist. Like all of the beef at Hangry Burger, it’s Halal-certified. Kimchi and ssamjang come on top of the Seoul Mate burger, which is tucked inside of a toasted bao bun. If you’re interested in biting into a burger with halloumi cheese, order the Livid Lamb. Halal-certified lamb takes the place of beef in this fully loaded burger topped not only with cheese, but also freshly crafted tzatziki, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. For something a little more conventional, the signature Hangry burger features a beef patty capped with cheddar cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
